Why I built TradesTimer
I kept dates, addresses, and hours in notebooks while working for contractors. If I forgot to record a visit, I had to estimate it later. Those missing details could mean unbilled work.
My experience includes fencing, framing, renovations, roofing, siding, decks, concrete, drywall, and painting.
Later, I managed orders, parts, invoices, and time tracking for an electrical contractor with about ten field workers. Missed clock-ins and incorrect job codes meant reviewing days from memory before preparing invoices.
I built TradesTimer to record stops and trips without a timer. You review the recorded times, add job names, and select billable visits before preparing an invoice.
