Who makes TradesTimer

I’m Ryder Wishart, the developer of TradesTimer, operated by 17114401 Canada Inc.. Before writing software, I worked in framing, fencing, roofing, siding, decks, concrete, drywall, and painting. I later managed purchase orders, invoicing, and time tracking for an electrical contractor with about ten field workers.

Missing or incorrect time entries made billing harder. I built TradesTimer to record stops and trips automatically, so you can review visits before preparing invoices. Time tracking is free and requires no account.

How this site is written

The guides, comparisons, and calculators are free to use without signing up. We follow these editorial standards:

  • Sources. Quotes from tradespeople link to the original public thread. Competitor prices are stated with the date we checked them.
  • Dated pages. Every guide shows when it was last updated, and tax-rate figures are revised when the IRS/CRA revise theirs.
  • Commercial disclosures. The only thing promoted on this site is our own free app, and it’s always labelled as ours.
  • Scope and limits. Calculators say what they estimate and what they don’t. Nothing here is tax, accounting, or legal advice.
